Her head is perfect and lovely bisque. She has fixed blue paperweight eyes, heavy brows and pierced ears. She has a cork pate and a real hair French wig. The Jumeau markings at the back of the head have been rubbed off which has happened to many of these dolls. It was a marketing move which allowed anyone to sell the dolls, cheaper even, but not using the Jumeau trade mark. Her body is in reasonably good condition although there is some repaint to lower arms and hands for various reasons. Often French bodies are not in wonderful condition and need a little touch up. There is a Jumeau stamp at the back of the body. She measures 25 inches and dates around 1890.
